After a childhood penning neighborhood newspapers and mortifying slam poetry, Katie Christian studied journalism and art at the University of Minnesota. A former intern at Utne Reader and METRO Magazine, her writing can be found in local and national publications and in her journal, where she now pens mortifying free verse. She recently relocated to Seattle, where she breaks Xacto blades, studies letterpress and serves as a keeper of the Midwestern accent.
